SA, short for Standards Australia, is a non-profit organization serving Australia. Its main goal is to ensure life safety and health and improve the competitiveness of Australian national industries. The Boiler Pressure Vessel Standardization Committee is one of its branches, and its sub-organization includes pressure vessels, water pipe boilers, hot boilers, pressure pipelines, liquefied petroleum gas containers and series production pressure vessels.
Any pressure vessels involved in the above fields must be exported to Australia for AS 1210 license.
Australian AS certification process
1. Conduct design review (drawings and calculation books) in accordance with the AS 1210 design specifications and obtain the pressure vessel review number
2. Review the manufacturing-related procedures and technical requirements, the manufacturer's quality control plan, etc., and set up inspection points
3. Verify or inspect the factory materials
4. Review the welding process, process assessment records and welder assessment records
5. Review the non-destructive flaw detection procedures and personnel qualification records
6. Random inspections during the manufacturing process, such as weld group inspection, root cleaning inspection and dimensional inspection on the back of the weld, etc.
7. Witness the non-destructive flaw detection or review the non-destructive flaw detection report/record
8. Final appearance and dimension inspection, including inspections inside and outside the equipment
9. Review the heat treatment report (if applicable)
10. Witness the final pressure test
11. Review the manufacturer's inspection records and reports
12. Confirm the content and installation of the nameplate, mark the nameplate and the item identification number
13. Issue the AS certification inspection verification certificate
