Introduction to IBR Certification
According to the provisions of the Indian Boilers Act, 1923 and Indian Boiler Regulations-1950 formulated by the Central Boiler Bureau of India, all pressure equipment and auxiliary equipment accessories entering the Indian market must be IBR certified.
India has many procedures for boiler review, and most domestic companies are not familiar with IBR specifications. The IBR specification has made many regulations on the design and manufacturing of parts, which will become difficulties encountered by the certification. India IBR certification has specific mandatory separate certification requirements for waste heat boilers and pipe parts. Valve instruments, including valves and various instruments, as well as raw materials, including steel, forgings, castings, pipe fittings, etc., must be certified separately by the component manufacturer.
IBR certification scope
1. Boiler pressure vessel
2. Pipeline
3. Valve
4. Raw materials (plate, bar, casting, forgings), etc.
