 Introduction to PSB certification in Singapore 

       PSB certification is a mandatory safety certification in Singapore, but there is no requirement for the electromagnetic compatibility part. The PSB safety mark certificate is issued by the Singapore Product Standards Bureau. Singapore Consumer Protection (Safety Specifications) Registration Plan requires that electrical products be listed for compulsory application for PSB certification. Before the product enters Singapore, a company with taxation in Singapore must be a company licensed to apply for PSB certification. Products can only be sold in Singapore after obtaining the PSB certification certificate.

PSB certification features

       1. The certificate holder is a local company number in Singapore, without factory inspection and annual fee; 2. The validity period of the certificate: three years; 3. If the product has Plug, an SS246 test certification report must be submitted; 4. There is no "series" application for product certification (each certificate can only cover a single model).

PSB certification process

       1.  Enterprises should submit an application 3 months before the formal review . The enterprise needs to fill out the "PSB Certification Application Form" and "ISO/TS16949:2002 Pre-evaluation List" and submit the required documents according to the latter to submit the time for acceptance of the review; 2. Quotation; 3. Sign a contract; PSB may recommend that the enterprise conduct a pre-examination one month before the formal review (the cost is 20-30% of the formal review), and the enterprise can freely choose whether to conduct a pre-examination; 4. Literary review: Review the application materials and documents submitted by the enterprise; 5. On-site review; 6. Take corrective /preventive measures for non-compliance in the on-site review ; 7. Issuance of certificates: Under normal circumstances, the enterprise can obtain a certificate within 1-1.5 months after the rectification is completed.
